Growing older is easy: it just kind of sneaks up on you when you're not looking. Growing up, however, is a bit more intentional... And can be tough. We only grow up because we've learned some hard lessons, eaten humble pie (many times), and taken responsibility for our actions. It means "doing unto others as you would be done by" and understanding that you're not the centre of the universe: it owes you nothing.
Of course, realising that you can't just give over responsibility of your life to someone or something else kind of sucks. No wonder the saying "don't grow up, it's a trap!" makes so many of us chuckle in a terrified way... Growing up is a choice, and often happens in response to challenging circumstances. Like, say... the Covid-19 lockdown and the effects it has had on all of our lives.
If you've been feeling rather wobbly about emerging from lockdown, facing the world and planning for whatever's going to happen in your future, don't worry: we all feel it. But you can make a choice to grow up and roll with the punches by engaging with the things you can control in your life. From sorting out your mental and physical health to killing it during your first day at work, our resources offer support to help you to start working on a positive plan for your future: one where you're in control.
Are you ready to reset? Let's get going!
