New Year’s eve is one of my favourite nights of the year, you can wash away anything negative from the year before or celebrate the epic highs from the year past with your nearest and dearest and once that clock strikes 12 you can celebrate with Sydney in welcoming in 2018!
We all know the harbour lights up in a spectacular fireworks show that rivals any other city or country for that manner, people travel from all over the globe to feed of its energy. If you are going to be Sydney based this NYE you may be asking yourself where is the best place to go to bring in the New Year in style? Don’t worry we’ve got you covered – to avoid FOMO get yourself to one of the events below:

For the party animal

NYE in The Park

From the masterminds of festivals Hot Dub Time Machine and Falcona New Years Eve in the Park is super impressive. It’s the first festival of its kind and boasts a range of international and national producers, DJ’s and bands. Starting from early afternoon and going well into the night it also offers gourmet food stalls and a fireworks display.

Tickets: $149 | Location: Victoria Park Broadway

For the reveller on a budget

Barangaroo Reserve

Barangaroo Reserve offers spectacular views of the harbour bridge and it’s one of the most affordable ways to spend New Years Eve. You can bring a picnic or pre purchase a hamper or eat from one of the 4 dining outlets which will be on site, North Bondi Fish, Chiswick, The Erko and Goros.

Tickets: $44 | Location: Barangaroo Reserve, Barangaroo

For those looking to make it a big one

Manly Wharf Hotel

Manly Wharf Hotel is throwing the party of all parties this year with DJ Felix Da House Cat spinning on the decks along with a heap of other well-known Aussie DJS who will have you up and dancing away 2017. They are offering complimentary Heineken and Sparkling between 6pm and 8pm but be sure to eat and pace yourself so you last to see in the New Year with your crew.

For those looking to dance the night away

Bungalow 8 & The Loft

Fresh from a full scale revamp Bungalow 8 and The Loft is ready for you to dance the night away on the water’s edge this New Year’s Eve, the queen of DJ’S Havanah Brown will be on the decks and you can grab some food before the sun goes down to really celebrate in style or upgrade your package to the VIP experience which will include 2 hours of standard drinks plus canapes.
