Our client Piber Plastics is a Plastic Injection Moulding Manufacturer based in Derrimut, 3026 Vic. The company has been experiencing a consistent 30% growth for the last 3 years and are therefore continually hiring new employees. They are looking for motivated trainees who will be trained by their skillful and experienced staff to learn and develop the skills required to perform well.

Piber Plastics are looking to fill the role of an Injection Moulding Tool Setter – This trainee will be working with an experienced team of toolmakers where they'll mostly be in the toolroom performing technical work and not just the basic machine operator job. They will be required to perform the following duties;

  • Die changes in Injection Moulding Machines and setting parameters

  • Identifying problems and potential solutions to improve quality and efficiency

  • Ensure production meets QC specifications.

  • Identifying appropriate adjustments to machines.

  • Attending breakdown and minimise downtime.

The role also requires someone who possesses the following attributes:

  • Must have a good work ethic
  • Positive can-do attitude
  • Must be reliable and punctual
  • Have a willingness to learn
