Key performance objectives: Interpret work order requirements in order to fit and assemble motors and VSD in accordance with customer specifications.Utilizing of hand tools to attach and adjust individual electronic components.Interpret materials provided by engineers and product designers and understand how individual parts work togetherFits and assembles metal parts, electrical wiring to build motors and VSD.Ensure that assembly practice is according to Nord Drivesystems global standards.Ensure that painting practice is according to NORD Drivesystems global standards. Tasks will include (but not limited to):Study drawings and work instructions to determine suitable parts, method and sequence of operations and machine settingsCheck a component for manufacturing defects or use specialized tools like callipers to ensure that parts fit together as expected.Support fabrication teams by inspecting individual components throughout the assembly processCheck connections and measure electrical resistance to ensure that everything works as intendedFitting metal and electrical parts into products and assembling metal parts and sub-assemblies involving mainly rotor assembly, wiring preparation to produce complete assemble motors and VSD.Checking metal and electrical parts for accuracy, clearance (internal and external) and fit using precision measuring instruments - demonstrating ability to read and measure using micrometers.Setting guides, stops and other controls on machining tools and presses.Demonstrate basic machining abilities for fitting requirements.Diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance of machines, and overhauling and repairing mechanical partsUse manufacturing equipment or hand tools to make small repairs before incorporating the components into a deviceAbility to read electrical schematic diagrams and technical specification / work instructions to fit and assemble motors and VSDInstall / commission machines and equipment on-site, as requiredCleaning requirements associated with assembly worksSome gearbox assembly, spray painting and packaging may also be requiredPreparing completed products for dispatch Requirements Education: Ready for a Traineeship a Certificate II in Electronic Assembly - UEE20911Knowledge Electronic assemblers read and interpret engineering blueprints and specification sheets for a wide variety of devices and componentsReady to be a general assembler involved in assembly and repair of industrial products.Candidate must have some technical ability in order to assist with fault finding and preventative maintenance.Electronic assemblers constantly seek to improve methods and enhance overall efficiency to speed up and simplify the assembly processCandidate must be able to identify the bill of materials and determine that the issued parts are correct while assembling industrial gearboxes and motors.Behaviour Level headedA high level of attention to detailHonestRespectfulSelf-motivatedMust be able to work under challenging and target oriented environmentCollaborative working style in a team environmentIf this sounds like you, apply now!
