Required Skills

Essential requirements:

  • Higher School Certificate sufficient to provide entry to a nominated Associate Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Evidence of self-motivation and organising skills with proven initiative
  • Evidence of achieving goals by working cooperatively as part of a team
  • Proven analytical, research and problem solving skills and aptitude to learn new concepts
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in oral and written communication
  • Must be an Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident

Role Description

We are looking for a self-motivated, committed and collaborative individual who has proven analytical, research and problem solving skills which will be supported by effective oral and written communication capabilities. 

It is essential that you attain an ATAR of 70 or above in your HSC and apply for the Associate Degree in Engineering (choose course code 7022) at Western Sydney University,  please click link for more information and or to register.
 
You will need to provide evidence of your acceptance into the course if you are successful for this position.

What you will be involved in:

  • Prepare signage designs and plans, under supervision, for wayfinding, tourist and service schemes, in compliance with policies, standards, technical directions, guidelines, procedures and agreed requirements
  • Contribute to the management of technical risk in traffic engineering and temporary works.
  • Participate in reviews of temporary works contract documents
  • Participate in reviews and safety audits on internal and external designs, work zones and construction projects, to ensure the consistent application of standards and technical excellence and improved road design solutions. Develop capability to inform others of the risks associated with departures from current accepted traffic engineering and temporary works standards.
