Role Description

The Optical Retail Assistant provides support across a number of activities and functions in the day-to-day operation of Brennan & Smith Optometrists, and ensures objectives and standards are met. Activities and functions include:

  • Superior customer service, active listening and solution finding
  • Using creativity and knowledge to showcase styles that will best suit customers
  • Resolving customer queries and issues in an empathetic manner, encouraging return patronage
  • Completing daily retail duties (i.e. cash management, store maintenance and stock control)
  • Assisting the optometrists and optical dispensers
  • Accurate filing of finance documents, including the handling of sensitive financial information and transaction discreetly, confidentially and with integrity
  • Answering of telephone as required
  • Attending and contributing to meetings with Senior Management and staff as required
  • Attending and undertaking company training as required
  • Other duties as required by Senior Management
