How much will I get paid?

Your wage will be dependent on the industrial award you are paid under and may vary according to your age, how long you have been out of school, and the industry you are working in.

Find out more about awards and pay scales for apprentices and trainees by contacting NSW Industrial Relations http://www.industrialrelations.nsw.gov.au/ 131 628 or Fair Work Australia http://www.fwa.gov.au/  1300 799 675

School Based Apprenticeships

If you are a school based apprentice or trainee, the minimum amount of time you spend in paid on-the-job training differs depending on the industry you are working in.  Your training plan will outline your on-the-job training requirements.

Part-Time Traineeships

If you are a part-time trainee, you must work a minimum of 15 hours per week for a traineeship that has a nominal full-time term of 12months; 21 hours per week if the term is 24 months.  Talk to ABL Apprenticeships Centre (ABLAC) 1300 652 236 for further help.
