
Automotive services
If you love working with cars, motors and machines — making, fixing or selling them— then the automotive services industry could interest you.
This industry encompasses gas and diesel engines, light and heavy vehicles,farm machinery, marine, motor sport, power equipment and bicycles.
You may work in detailing (cleaning, polishing and waxing) or withmechanical repairs, windscreen repairs, spray painting or body repairs,for example.
There are also opportunities in the large automotive aftermarket (AA) – this includes the manufacturing,wholesaling, distribution and retailing of all vehicle parts,accessories, tools, equipment and services. Some people work with component, tooling, design and engineering firms. Others work in the auto parts sector and provide help for suppliers.

Training & Qualifications
Qualifications range from Certificate II in automotive electrical technology to Certificate III in automotive sales (aftermarket retail operation).
There are also opportunities to qualify for senior, supervisory or management roles, such as:
