How much will it cost me?

Your training provider will advise you of your enrolment fee, however a large number of employers cover this cost.

The tuition or course costs are covered by the State Government if you are an apprentice or a new entrant trainee. Existing Worker trainees generally don’t have to pay an enrolment fee as the training costs are negotiated between the employer and the Registered Training Organisation (RTO). Contact ABL Apprenticeships Centre (ABLAC) to find out what applies to you.

Other Costs

During your apprenticeship / traineeship you may also have to cover the cost of:

  • uniforms and equipment
  • text books and other study materials
  • parking or transport costs
  • travel and accommodation to attend training

You and your employer may be eligible for a variety of financial incentives from the State and Australian Governments to help meet the costs of employing and training you.

Talk to ABL Apprenticeships Centre (ABLAC) on 1300 652 236 to find out what incentives your and your employer may be eligible for.
