How long is probation?

A trainee is on probation for one month if a 12 month traineeship, two months if a 24 month term or 3 months if longer than 24 months.  An apprentice is on probation for three months from the start date. Trainee Apprenticeships do not have a probationary period.  During the probation period the apprenticeship or traineeship can be cancelled by either party.
