Do you enjoy problem solving? Do you like maths and science? Engineering might be for you! Engineers are involved in the technical design and construction of large infrastructure such as mining equipment, aircrafts, electronics and more. There are many sub-industries in Engineering, so before you start your journey you’ll need to pick which area you’d like to focus on. Maybe you’d like to become an Aircraft Engineer and build and/or repair aircraft structures, avionic and mechanical systems? Civil Engineering covers the design and construction of things like bridges, dams, gas and water supply schemes and many other structures. Engineers have good attention to detail and love building and improving the way things work. You’ll need to have strong skills in mathematics and science and also be able to work as part of a team.
