Pimples, zits, bumps, spots, whatever you want to call them they are annoying and chances are they rear there awful little heads at the most inopportune times. We’ve all been there, you can feel it getting a little sore and you know it’s going to be a big one, don’t despair, there are plenty of remedies in the article below to get your skin looking blemish free again.
The number one thing you need to do though (as hard as this may be) is leave it alone! Picking it or popping it to early can lead to not only scaring but also to you spreading the pimples or making them worse if you have dirty hands or finger nails. 1. Green tea
While you enjoy a cup of green tea think of all the antioxidants and antimicrobial goodness you are flushing through your system, then cool the tea bag and use it to rub on the affected areas. If you have a few breakouts then make an extra cup of green tea, let it cool and dab the facewash on to the affected areas.
Form a paste by adding a few drops of water to the table and mash it into a paste, the salicylic acid in the aspirin will help to dry out the pimples and reduce inflammation. 3. Apple Cider Vinegar
For a DYI toner mix equal parts apple cider vinegar and water and apply to the skin using a cotton ball. The vinegar contains malic and lactic acids that can reduce red marks and exfoliate, don’t forget to shake the DYI toner before each use.
4. Manuka Honey
Not just delicious on crumpets honey is also has antibiotic properties that can help to improve acne. Make an at home mask with 1 cup of plain oatmeal and half a cup of honey, leave it on for 30 minutes, then rise and voila you should see a difference straight away!
Just like with any sprain or burn, ice is a great way to calm any swollen and red spots you may have. Just rub a cube on the affected spots, the bacteria will be pushed out and your pores will also close up. Happy days!
6. Egg Whites
Separate the yolk form the egg white and gently swap the affected area with a cotton ball. Leave the mixture on your face for about an hour and you will immediately feel the skin begin to tighten. It’s a great way to naturally dry out those little nasty spots!
